Portaclamp® FLEX is a new concept, based on the positive experience of Portaclamp®. It has been designed to maximize the comfort of the surgeon and the protection of the aorta. Access optimization
The metallic mandrel consists of two separable elements. Only a small distal metal piece remains in the thorax during surgery. The jaws are fully flexible and can be folded on the thorax. Thus it gives an optimal access to the surgeon, being totally out of its way. 

Atraumatic
Portaclamp® FLEX  is manufactured with a very soft rubber-like raw material.

It thus portects the aorta tissue in an optimal way.

Robotic surgery

Portaclamp® FLEX  is folded on the patient’s thorax, right after clamping.

It is then totally out of the way, and insures no possible conflicts with the arms of a surgical robot.
